Excellent information on training:  Dr. Patricia McConnell's "Calling All Pets".  A zoologist, Dr. McConnell has a weekly radio show on Wisconsin Public Radio where she offers great advice to pet owners.

Recommended site for general information: The PetCARE Information Center -- hosted by the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine.

The World Wide Web Virtual Library, section on animal health, well-being, and rights.  This site has general information sections that apply to many types of animals, plus sections that apply to specific types of animals.
